The look of the Ecoflam/Jolly 1986 team jersey is typical for the period, when sublimnation first appeared in the professional peloton in the 1980`s.

Prendas Ciclismo

Year: 1986

Manufacturer: Marilena

Associated Bike Brand: Basso Cycles

Made by Marilena from the Veneto region, I was under the impression that this team had something to do with the GiS Gelati team, but it turns out they simply shared a sub-sponsor: Jollyscarpe who made cycling shoes back in the day.

The team`s director happened to be Giuseppe Martinelli who has managed a huge array of start riders in his time as well as some famous cycling teams: Jollj Ceramica, Magniflex, Santini/Selle Italia, Alfa Lum/Olmo, Ecoflam/Jolly, Carrera, Mercatone Uno, Saeco, Lampre, Amica Chips and Astana Pro Team to name a few!

The look of the team jersey changed dramatically for the 1988 season when Alfa Lum took over as the lead sponsor with Legnano adding their infamous green!

This jersey was kindly sent to me by my friend Robert in Italia.
