Despite this being a 2008 jersey, the argyle pattern pattern is still in evidence on the current 2013 team jersey!

Cycle jersey design has come a long way since the wool jerseys of the 1960s, but some feel the current pro team jerseys are just a bunch of corporate logos stuck on a jersey designed by committee.
However, In Sept 2007 the American Slipstream team launched a competition for their fans to design the 2008 team jersey! The only requirement was that the design needed to incorporate the argyle pattern, and then in October 2007 team owners Doug Ellis and Jonathan Vaughters then selected the best five designs for the public to vote on. So, you are looking at the winning design!
Made by Pearl Izumi, the jersey features a YKK zip, mesh side panels but the best bit is a burito sticking out of a rear pocket sublimated onto the back of the jersey design!
